Dad and me@Hamdi

A few weeks back Dad and My uncle stopped over in Istanbul on their way back from Germany. The weekend turned out to be a great learning experience. Normally when someone visits me, I take them around the usual 'To-Dos' in Istanbul and thought ill do pretty much the same with them. But apart from doing the 'To-Dos' they decided to experiment. We went to a mystic sufi music concert. The whirling dervishes beautifully explained the evolution and philosophy of Islam. I am truly amazed at the evolution and spread of islam and am taking some time off to study it further. I couldnt have asked to be in a better place right now, Constantinople - You beauty !

turkey looks extremely pretty in the background. of course, the foreground isn't that bad either :D

on my way to ipm i had a stop-over in turkey for 20 minutes..spent all the time running from one end of the terminal in an effort to not miss my next flight. not fun! but i do remember it was snowing right before we landed, the first time i saw snowfall.

also, when you coming to pakistan? everyone keeps saying they'll come but no one ever follows through on it = not fair!

great to see your are enjoying Constantinopole, - there is a special attachment to this city among Slavs - it used to be "our Orthodox Rome" ;) Hope to visit some good places in July - planning to be there on 17th. Will see if I managed to get ticket ;)

hmmm...try to articulately pen your experiences rather than just uploading photographs.
catharsis helps clear the mind...which in your case is an urgent necessity
